How SmartCVI uses activity data

A plain description of what the learning site records about your use of it, why, and what you can switch off.

What is recorded

What is never recorded for this purpose

Your IP address, your browser identification, the values you typed into a report, or any message of an error. An optional comment you add to a rating is kept with the rating. Aggregated counts (how many learners used a case this week) are anonymous.

Why

To see which chapters and cases work and which do not, to check the quality of the AI mentor's feedback, to find and fix failures, and to support you when you ask for help.

Who sees it

Course staff see counts, averages and the AI mentor's feedback text on submitted reports, without your name. A support person can see your own activity, your rating comments and your report values only with an additional verification of their identity, and every such view is logged.

How long

Active minutes for 90 days, navigation facts for 180 days, error entries for 90 days. Your learning record stays with your account. Anonymous daily totals are kept.

What you can switch off

In your settings, "Do not count my active minutes" stops the active-minute count and the navigation facts. Your learning record, your ratings and your purchases are kept, because they are part of your account and of the service you use.
